Damp and Water Ingress Officer

We have a fantastic opportunity to join Sovereign Network Group as Contracts Officer – Damp and Water Ingress team on a permanent basis. You'll be based from our office in either Wembley – London or Hertfordshire. This role will combine office and home working to ensure a positive work/life balance. You will work in a dedicated damp and water ingress project team to support of the team in relation to damp and ingress case management for (SNG) portfolio. To managed administrative tasks, complaints and works relating to damp and mould cases across London and Herts

The Role

• Manage damp and water ingress cases across (SNG) London and Herts portfolio, ensuring that cases are captured monitored and completed within an acceptable timeframe. Ensure residents are kept updated throughout and reporting on this workstream is accurate and timely.
• Assist with management of repair works and cost analysis to monitor progress and expenditure in order to achieve value for money.
• Working in partnership with contractors manage complex damp and water ingress repairs understanding political and customer sensitivities.
• Investigating and drafting responses to repairs complaints.
• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and act as resident liaison; build and maintain good relationships with residents and other stakeholders.
• Ensure effective paper record keeping and monitoring systems are in place, preparing minutes of meeting to a high standard.
• Ensure that monthly key performance indicators are reported in line with agreed requirements.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance and monitoring of systems and databases for the efficient storage and retrieval of data.

• Ability to analyse complex situations, define problems, produce acceptable solutions and subsequently implement against tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill, sufficient to write reports and analyse inform action to identify issues and themes and recommend action. With the ability to adapt the approach for different audiences.
• Good knowledge of IT systems including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Able to prioritise, manage workload and respond to complaints within SNG agreed timeframes
